To get another fuckin' Golf. At least the pictures show it in its natural state, with the hood up and on a flat bed.

If it runs (when the battery is charged), why is it on a flatbed? Does it come with a new alternator?

How about a 1st gen golf R with the 6 speed and 6 cylinder?

Wow, sounds super reliable. I'll take three.

Reliable? Well, why didn’t you say so?
Okay, okay, I'll give you something reliable . How about a w8 passat wagon with a 6 speed.

Reliably operates under it’s own power. Not reliably found in the shop and bankruptcy proceedings (listed under ‘debts .’)

Funnily enough, one was on the sidewalk next to the office with the hood open just yesterday.

You guys are hard to please. Guess it’s time to bring out the big guns to appease your “reliability” needs.
Okay... Get this. First gen Audi allroad with a big boost kit. No documentation or anything, but the coolant hoses are all red so you just know everything was done well.

I know. I had a Mk IV. Drove it for about 15 years and 215k miles before a drunk totaled it in front of my house. I miss it.

Stop resisting what you are. You are the David Tracy of Golfs. The longer you resist, the more resentful you will become. Don’t fight it.

Booooooo worst Golf
My brother had one that lasted until like 237k. Traded it in with no clutch left, burning a quart every 100 miles, no locks, and more hole than floor. He got $500 for it. They overpaid by $500.

That's a considerably worse idea

Well, yes, it wasn’t the highest quality car. But when it was totaled it still had the original clutch. It burned some oil, but no more than you might expect from a 200k VW. No matter how long I ran it with little oil I couldn’t kill the two-point-slow engine. Say what you will, I liked it, and I miss it.

... I think that just gets labeled as a fire hazard.

I kid. Mk4s are good.

Not at all, it is a perfect idea.
